Maharashtra and Jharkhand Assembly Elections Voting Dates, Schedule, and Key Information

The Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024 will take place on November 20, 2024, to elect the 288 members of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. Vote counting and results will be announced on November 23, 2024, just days before the current assembly’s term ends on November 26, 2024. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar confirmed that the elections will be held in a single phase across all 36 districts, spanning 6 regions and 288 constituencies.

This year’s election is expected to be a two-way contest between two major coalitions:

1. Mahayuti Alliance – Comprising the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Shiv Sena-Eknath Shinde, and NCP-Ajit Pawar.

2. Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) – Consisting of Shiv Sena (UBT), NCP-Sharad Pawar, and the Congress.
