Girls must come into Police force — Dr. Rashmi Karandikar

Description: Question asked by girl to Loksatta Viva Lounge event that, few moths back some people tried to misbehave with ladies police constable in Azad Maidan during rally organized by private group. Do you feel women are safe in Mumbai and come into Police department? Dr. Rashmi Karandikar replied to that, Yes. That was not acceptable but heartrending incidence. But there is no such reason, which stopped girls to join Police department.
